On this episode of The Plug w/ Justin Jay we sit down with guitarist Chris Shiflett from The Foo Fighters to hear about some behind the scenes stories from his experience playing himself in the campy horror movie spoof Studio 666. Chris gives some insight into how his character, along with Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins was an exaggerated version of themselves and how the writer developed the roles. The movie was filmed in a mansion in Encino where they actually recorded their latest album as well as the album by the fictitoius band Dream Widow. Listen to the full episode and hear Chris’ take on the different production styles that the band has undergone - from the low-budget recording of Nirvana’s early work, to the luxury of having unlimited budgets.
